BUFFALO, NY—Dopkins & Company, LLP announces that Maria G. Tulowitzki and Dawn D. Chen have recently earned their Enrolled Agent Accreditation.  An Enrolled Agent is a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Enrolled Agents represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service for tax issues that include audits, collections, and appeals. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Maria Tulowitzki has a wealth of industry experience in preparing federal and New York state tax returns for S-corporations, partnerships, not-for profit and individual clients. She also has extensive outsource accounting management experience with the preparation of monthly bookkeeping services and financial statements for clients ranging from small to mid-size businesses.  She received her B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Dawn Chen provides tax compliance services for both businesses and individuals and is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. She received her B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
