Dopkins Receives Highest Rating in AICPA Peer Review
CPA & Consulting Firm Receives Highest Rating for the 12th Consecutive Time
BUFFALO, NY— Dopkins & Company, LLP Certified Public Accountants and Consultants successfully completed its 12th rigorous peer review with the highest ranking possible of its accounting and auditing practice in accordance with the Standards for Performing and Reporting on Peer Reviews established by the Peer Review Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national professional organization of CPAs. The reviewers concluded that the Firm’s system of quality control for the accounting and auditing practice in effect for the year ended May 31, 2016, has been suitably designed and complied with to provide reasonable assurance of performing and reporting in conformity with applicable professional standards in all material respects. A firm participating in the Peer Review Program must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years by another independent CPA firm qualified under the program’s requirements for service as a reviewer. Dopkins was awarded a rating of “pass,” the highest ranking possible. For more information, visit http://www.aicpa.org.
“It is gratifying that an independent peer firm thoroughly reviewed our work,” explains Charlie Fadale, Partner at Dopkins & Company, LLP, “and found it to be of very high quality.” “It is particularly meaningful,” Fadale continued, “Since Dopkins was among the first firms in the area to voluntarily undergo a “peer review” when the AICPA launched the program 36 years ago and we strongly supported the AICPA’s vote in favor of mandatory peer reviews in 1988.”
