Report: Buffalonians less likely to seek fraud alerts

People in Buffalo are far less likely to request fraud alerts than people in Houston, Las Vegas or New York City.

In fact, among the nation’s 50 largest metro areas, Buffalo has the second-lowest rate of people asking credit bureaus for fraud alerts, according to a report released this month by LendingTree Inc. How low is it? 2.6 percent among My LendingTree users.
