John A. Allan

John provides tax compliance services for both businesses and individuals. He is also a member of Dopkins Research & Development Tax team. He joined Dopkins in 2019 following graduation.
Prior Experience
An active member of the University at Buffalo community, John served as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Financial Accounting coursework. He prepared and delivered weekly recitation classes for over 100 students to help reinforce learning objectives. Responsible for grading and recording test scores, John was able to hone in his communication and leadership skills in order to clarify critical course objectives during one-on-one meetings with undergraduate students.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree, John served as a Student Assistant where he was able to utilize his accounting skills to reconcile department transactions, prepare interdepartmental reports and manage scheduling and time sheets for a team of over 50 employees.
Throughout his entire collegiate career, John also worked as a bookkeeper at a local property management firm.
