Jake R. Prunier
A member of Dopkins Assurance Services Group, Jake assists business clients with audit reviews and the preparation of financial statements to ensure organizations are in compliance with established regulations. Jake joined Dopkins in 2024 after serving an extended internship at the firm.

Prior Experience
A native of Cortland, New York, Jake worked for the Cortland Child Development Center for several years while pursuing his education. He also served as an Official for USA Hockey and was responsible for impartially officiating games to ensure that all skaters, coaches, and spectators abide by rules and policies set forth to promote a safe atmosphere.
Community Service
Jake has spent many years serving members of the Cortland community across all ages. Since 2017, he served as a volunteer for Crown City Little League as a mentor and educator for a diverse group of children learning the fundamentals of baseball and teamwork. In addition, he also volunteered at the Cortland Regional Medical Center (CRMC), where he showed compassion and empathy in assisting patients with self-care while enabling them to have autonomy in their plan of care during their course of hospitalization. In the CRMC nursing facility, he assisted with daily non-medical operations in the center while maintaining utmost sense of dignity and respect to each individual.
While studying at Cansius, Jake was very engaged in campus life. He served as a Student Orientation Leader, where he was responsible for welcoming and providing information to incoming freshmen students. He was an active member of the University’s Accounting Society and participated in University events including, Meet the Accountants Night networking events, Mock Interviews and other Accounting-related events.
