Manager – State and Local Tax (SALT)

Dopkins & Company’s Tax Advisory Group is seeking a Manager to support our growing State and Local Tax practice.

As a Tax Manager you will have the opportunity to focus on managing multiple client engagements.  You will be responsible for direct client contact, scheduling and supervising work done by staff, and detail review of client work to meet our high-quality standards. You will help to mentor staff and transfer knowledge with in our team.  Since Dopkins employees strive to provide thorough customer service to all our clients, you will be charged with recognizing opportunities to increase the level and types of Dopkins services your clients would find beneficial. Professionals in our tax practice typically provide both tax compliance and consulting services to their client base.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to coordinate and oversee State and Local Income Tax and Sales and Use Tax projects including nexus studies and due diligence issues.
  • Ability to keep up with the ever-evolving issues in the SALT arena.
  • CPA license
  • Able to develop business within and outside of our existing client base.
  • Able to grow and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • 3+ years concentration on providing services regarding state and local tax matters
  • Strong technical tax consultation and research skills.
