Ralph M. Jeswald, MBA, CPA
Partner, Tax Advisory Group
At a glance
Ralph is a leader of the Dopkins MC² initiative that is helping affected not-for-profits transition into new funding and management models.
With outside pressures, such as regulation and the move to managed care placing a burden on practitioners to manage their programs efficiently and in compliance with legal requirements, Ralph develops systems and secures processes to help relieve the headache of administration and allows the provider to focus on service delivery. Moreover, his expertise in managed care is proving invaluable to not-for-profits that provide health care services as they migrate to the managed care model.
Through his thought leadership in helping to create the Dopkins MC2 methodology, he is helping them not only transition to the new mandate, but can be a difference between surviving and flourishing versus languishing and failing.
As a member of the firm's Leadership Committee, he actively participates in executing the many facets of the Dopkins "One Firm" vision. Ralph has developed a unique expertise in the design and implementation of custom performance management and improvement solutions primarily for service-based entities.
As a trained facilitator, Ralph's experience has focused primarily on the design and implementation of custom PMI solutions for entities including: manufacturing, financial services, professional services, government and public agencies, food, distribution, retail and entertainment, but with a focus on medical practices.
Ralph has been published in the New York State CPA Journal and Canada's Chartered Accountant and has been a featured speaker at events such as the Financial Tracking for Six Sigma conference sponsored by the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC). The value stream costing method developed in his role as consultant to HSBC helped to win the Best Defect Elimination in Service and Transaction Award 2004.
Following a brief career in the music business, Ralph began his public accounting career 1991 and ultimately served as partner in charge of the firm's consulting practice for ten years before joining Dopkins & Company, LLP in 2005.
