At a glance

Leonard began the Firm in 1955 from the living room of his one-bedroom apartment. He had one employee, his wife, who did the typing, while he did the bookkeeping and grew the business. 50+ years later, Dopkins & Company, LLP has grown into the largest independent accounting and consulting firm in Western New York with seven partners and 130 employees.

Professional Affiliations

Named an honorary member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Held numerous positions within the AICPA culminating with a four-year term on the Board of Directors and serving as Vice President.
