John specializes in tax and business consulting for many of the firm's manufacturing and closely held business clients. He works extensively in corporate and individual taxation including state and local, international, retirement and estate, and business valuation and succession planning.

John joined Dopkins in 1995 with 15 years of tax experience with a Big 4 international tax and accounting firm. His experience also includes six years in private industry as a Tax Director and eventually as president of a privately held multi-state corporation. His previous public accounting experience was concentrated as a Senior Manager in the Manufacturing, Retailing and Distribution specialty group where he served as lead manager on many of the Top 100 companies in the Buffalo area.
